I have had this problem with speaking in public. You know, the typical stuff. Heart pounding, sweats, dry mouth, nervous stomach. My job requires me to speak to larger groups more and more. So I asked my doc for some meds. She gave me Propronolol (Inderol) which is a blood pressure medicine that belongs to a group of drugs labeled as "beta-blockers". Yesterday I had to speak in front of 60 people and I took some pills throughout the day and I wasn't the least bit nervous and it is definitely helping my confidence. Every day I seem to be getting more confidence which in turn is kicking my anxiety to the edge of the earth. Just thought I'd pass this along if someone has anxiety problems with these symptoms.
