For the women here, do you have more anxiety/depressive symptoms when you are menstruating? Does anyone here take meds just for the two weeks leading up to your period? My doctor suggested maybe taking Zoloft only the two weeks prior to my period, and then stopping once it starts. Im trying to stay off meds completely if possible, but more and more Im thinking of just using the Zoloft during certain times of the month. Any other ladies here do that? And how does that work - I thought meds like Zoloft need time to get into your system. That you cant just start taking it and then stop suddenly, and then do it all over again the next month. My doctor (who is a general practitioner, not a psychiatrist) said that it doesnt matter. It will be effective just taking it the two weeks prior to my period.
