So now I have this pain in my left calf, on the inner side, up toward the shin. It started a day ago. I put warm compress last night but still here this morning. The pain is not bad, just annoying. And of course, I'm thinking blood clot, or deep vein thrombosis or something terrible. I just can't go to the doctor every time I have an ache or pain. It does not feel like muscle pain at all either. Anyone?

Also most clots are from EXTREME pain, the kind that makes walking unbearable. It's usually followed by swelling in the extremity and obvious redness. If you have either of those risk factors and those symptoms, by all means see your doctor. But if you are otherwise healthy it's probably just a strained muscle, and I'm sure you'll be fine!
I'm so saying all this to you, because I've been to the emergency room a few times with supposed "blood clots" only to be kindly told the above information.
So I hope it helps you too! (You just don't have to pay the co-pay or wait 5 hours, hehe)
