Just looking for some 'success' stories. Anyone want to share some non-med methods which have really worked for them? (and where to go for details). I'm finding meditation quite helpful, but need something to help rationalise my distorted anxious thoughts and constant pre-occupation with my anxiety. Thanks in anticipation :-)

Cognitive behavioral therapy, yoga, prayer and meditation, daily walks, good nutrition (eliminated caffeine and watch sugar intake, make sure I get a little protein with each meal), abdominal breathing, daily multivitamin and omega 3's with evening primrose oil. The last little dose of xanax I took was 20 days ago. I am on no other meds and have very little anxiety. I hope it continues! I don't know if you can call me a success just yet but I will keep you posted!

i also use meditaion and it helps alot. if you can get your body to relax, your mind will sometimes follow. i have found that meditating with some incents or some sort of candle helps to trigger a relaxation response. so now when i light a candle i began to feel relaxed. i just started doing this last week and it seems to be working. the feeling doesnt last long but it seems to be lasting longer every time i do it. also, try to get a meditation cd. it helps to listen to something. hope you feel better.

Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
