What is the longest episode anyone has had and then did it finally go away for a few years? Did it take medication to get you there and how many weeks/months did it take? I ask because obviously I'm a very slow responder to meds and I want to know if anyone else is and if I should just keep on these meds because I have had a response but not a very good one yet and I've been on my meds for 13 weeks but only on the upped meds for 5 - so maybe I need more time since we upped the lexapro?
Any advice on this?

You should have noticed some sort of response by now, at most the medications take 4 weeks, and they usually tend to starting working as early as 1. I would definitely call and see if you should up the dose or be switched to something else. You shouldn't have to suffer this long. I've had panic for 15 years and I'm still trying to get rid of it. I blame it on bad information when I was first diagnosed, lack of research, etc. I'm working hard to get past it though.

In general, in a controllable environment an episode should respond to treatment asap, if not there are issues, find the issues to work hand in hand with the medications.Love

I have had anxiety and PA's for 15 years myself. I am not a good AD person. Everything affects me in the wrong way. I take ativan as needed. More when it's bad and less often when it levels out. Mine has come and gone now for 6 years. This current episide has been pretty much 24//7 for the last 4 months. It sucks.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
