Hi, I would like to know how others stop an anxiety attack or stop it from getting worst. I am a recovering opiate addict so i cant take any of the strong meds to make it stop. I've only had the extreme anxiety a little in the past mostly because my drug use helped me with the anxiety. I have struggled falling asleep forever and thats when I have the attacks, when I cant sleep I get restless, then butterflies in my chest/ upper body than my chest feels unbelievably yucky and tight my whole body gets so tense it can hurt ya know in the legs especially and the longer it lasts the more intense it gets, i'm surprised I dont pass out from it each time cause it sure feels like i;m about to during it. I'm going through something right now that is causing me increased anxiety, worry, stress and this is the first time im having theses attacks frequently. I am prescribed ativan which helps a little with anxiety during the day and usually helps me sleep but does nothing for me during these attacks i've been having recently. I'm skeptical about antidepressants helping because from my past I dont think they work for me like they do others. When I was younger I was on Remeron for over a year and tried paxil for a short while and neither affected me. What are some things I can do at home when this feeling starts to happen? I'll try anything, any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanx for listening,

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
So my daughter, who will be 30 in a few months, says she thinks she has varicose veins, as she can't figure out what else it could be. Only in one leg, and is so bad it is hard to sleep at night. She is in excellent shape, really exercises a lot, and eats well... not at all overweight. Anyone else have any issues with this? I did find that it can go with PKD. She was reading that there are...
