Ok here is the deal, I am 27 smoke ( I am trying to quit) and EVERYday. I have pain right near or on my heart. This is an everday thing.
I have been to the doc tons and tons of times. Have had all the tests run.
When I took my stress test I had a PVC/Heart palp every other beat. While this scarred the hell out of me. The Doc said it was just fine.
Does anyone else feel like the pain is right in their heart on the left side. This is the only place I have pains.
Many doctors tell me that it is not heart related, but why is it right on or near my heart.
I am not like other people on here that have "Chest pain" meaning anywhere in the chest. Mine stays in one spot and goes off and on all day.
Again I have had every test run and they all tell me that I am fine.
Does anyone out there have the same pains?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Like you i smoke as well.About a year and a half ago. i woke up with an awful pain near my heart.I went to casualty and had all the tests etc and was told i was fine.Anyway since then the pain has returnes so after several more visits to casualty and to a cardiologist i was finally told that i had inflammation of the muscle and bone in my chest! They have just suggested that i take painkilles to manage the pain.
Do keep going back to them until you are finally told what you have going on, and a treatment for it.All the best.
In addition to the muscle-skeleton issues, I also have ERD and am on Prevacid for that condition.
And of course, panic attacks help SO much with the chest pain/heart palpitations that go along with them.
As sleepykitten said, your pain could be caused by quite a few conditions. If the cardiac docs say your heart is fine, ask your primary care doc to have other potential causes checked out.
Best of luck!
Like JustDavid said, heart pain is very widespread. I had pericarditis and myocarditis at the same time over a year ago. That pain was very ambiguous and difficult to pinpoint. It felt like my entire chest was in pain. Heart pain isn't specific.
I'm not going to be dumb enough to say not to worry. Just know that, from my experience, heart pain does not feel like you would expect.
So, to recap:
specific pain whether dull or sharp, mild or moderate = chest wall, esophageal, or various other pain
ambiguous pain that covers more than just a specific area of the chest and usually a very large portion or all of it, dull or sharp, radiating wave after wave, rarely mild, mainly moderate to severe = lung pain or, possibly, heart pain
Remember folks, the heart is a tough muscle. Do you worry that your bicep is going to give out suddenly? Of course not! If you've had the test, and the doc has told you that you just don't have anything to worry about, try to keep that in mind. I struggle with it every day. I'm right there with you. Despite all the info I've laid out, I still convince myself every day. Don't give up hope, and don't succumb to worry.
