Anyone had any success with controling their anxiety through eating a certain diet / foods? Im sure there's some weird physiology behind my anxiety as i'm in real good physical shape. (always have been!) My diet is reasonable, usually manage my 4 - 5 fruit and veg a day.

I don't know how diet would affect some people, but since I am diabetic, I need to keep my glucose levels under control. Naturally, my anxiety is worse when my health is.

I tried a special diet. It was a great placebo for me at first. I read all the natural cure eating books and went all organic. Yes, I also am in great shape and work out but I thought maybe there was something in my diet that was causing the anxiety and depression. Anyway, I did this diet for a year and came up empty handed. I've tried everything so now it's time fore the therapist according to the psychiatrist. Good luck with yours and no matter what it's still good to eat well. Who knows maybe it just didn't work for me, everyones body is different.

Try adding in a fish oil or sesame oil capsule. Supposedly omega-3's help with depression/anxiety. It certainly won't hurt you. They are good for you anyway. I know if I eat junk I feel like junk and vice versa.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
