I have GAD. In February I got very sick from an intestinal illness. My anxiety went through the roof and I lost 50 pounds. My doctor gave me meds everyday, up to 30 mg valium. I tried to get off them when I started to feel better but any lower than 8 mg per day nearly killed me and I ended up in the hospital without being able to breathe. I got stuck in my head that I HAD to get off the meds because I only took them as needed before. I've decided to stay on them for awhile until I can go back to work and decided that for now I can't go off them and will think about it again later. I feel a little dissapointed but could hardly breathe at 5 mg. I'm going back up to 8, waiting for it to build in my body to function again. What do others think about these addictive benzo medications? Hurt or help? Am I doing the right thing? I was a basket case.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
