i went to a psychiatrist today and basically told me what others told me...this is genetic, not the classic symptoms or causes of anxiety, and gets a very puzzled look when i tell him all my side-effects i got from the medications i tried. i told him as bad as my anxiety got i stuck with it and never let the fear run my life and he said i "was a tough cookie." so he wouldn't prescribe me meds (which i really don't want anyway) and to try cognitive therapy (which he tells me i'm already basically doing). so, is this good or bad...i wish i could take meds that help, but i either feel drugged or strung out, so i only take xanax when needed...that one i can handle the lowest dosage which i usually cut in half. so, here i am. i do feel much better, but damn, whenever i go to the dr. they don't know because my anxiety is seemingly so weird and random. huh. oh well....

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
So we're all supposed to be the same, are we? And we're all supposed to react to medications the same? Gee, I'm glad someone told me because I've been getting it all wrong!
As far as meds, sometimes one cannot avoid taking them. Anxiety is a very real problem. Whenever I start having an attack, nothing I do or say or think makes it better. I have to take a xanax.
Wellbutrin is supposed to help with anxiety and it aids in quitting smoking!
