I've been taking 2 mg of xanax per day for more than five years after being diagnosed with advanced cancer. I'm extremely grateful to be in remission for over five years. Now I'm trying to wean myself (with doc's help) off xanax. I've been warned it would be tough. Has anyone tapered off after longtime xanax use? What was the experience like for you? Were you successful? What was it like when you quit completely? Can you give me any advice for coping with physical withdrawal symptoms? I'm also on Paxil which I will stay on.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips.
