Hi all~
I just started taking Cymbalta today-I'm trying to keep "upbeat" & Positive--so forgive if I ask for NO major horror stories about the med. I've tried a couple other antidepressants & always seem to have side effects.
Anyway, I just took my first dose this morning & seem to get HORRIBLY neausous after lunch. I mean not just a little queasy--I feel like I"m going to throw up. I wondered if anyone else had this experience & it improved with time? I see its a side effect & the pharmacist said to take with food & maybe at night would help. But she didn't imply it would go away-she said everyone is different with this type of med.
thanks for your opinions & experiences.

A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
Just be forewarned people don't usually post about a medication unless they have had bad experiences with it.
I had to go off cymbalta because it made me too tired. But I've also heard positive things from others.
Good luck.
I try not to read all the stuff on the internet, because I know it's often just the negative & I worry about it enough in my own head. lol
My psy. dr. told me that there is a 20mg. tablet--not used very often, but she said she could start me on that, if this continued to happen, just to ramp my body up slowly. Also, she suggested I take it with dinner & hopefully sleep through the worst of it.
I'm so sensitive to meds--its so frustrating. I noticed this evening I was a little tired--but nothing too major. Thanks for replying.
((hugs))

One thing I decided to do was take it at bedtime so I slept through most the side effects do you might want to maybe give that a try and see if that helps you.
Takes a while to get in your system so I hope you give it a chance and it works well for you in the long run!
All the best to you and you take care.
thanks again!
