Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I cannot take antidepressants for anxiety due to the side effects so I am stuck taking benzos. Between the xanax and the klonopin I am liking the klonopin better so far. It is not as quick acting but it lasts alot longer.
My concern now is that my body is growing an intolerance to it. If it stops working, what next? Rubber rooms?
I tried xanax in the very beginning. It was much faster acting, but didn't last near as long as Klenopin.
They are both benzos and are addicting.
I wonder if you can take both? I wonder if there is a miracle drug that does the trick like Klenopin but your body adjusts to an even keel forever?
I wonder if there's a way off this roller coaster?
Lots of wonders............ but lately I am concerned that the Klenopin has gotten too comfortable in my system. I have a lot of anxiety right now due to life changes and it's just not doing as well as it usually does.
But it did............... and it will for you! I've just been on it too long I think.
The only problem is it's very addictive. I've tried going off of it several times and had horrible withdrawals. Couldn't handle it.
I think it's best to use it on an as needed basis to avoid become addicted to it.
It doesn,t tottally take anxiety but think i may need a higher doseIt will probably make you a little sleepy untill your body adjust to it.
On a daily basis, I'm taking .5 mg 2X /day. I've been on it for over 2 years. Sometimes I've taken up to 2 mg. in one day. Sometimes I've only needed .5 mg. each day. It depends on what's going on in my life and how my other meds are working.
I agree: it really helps me.
But I'm Bipolar and it seems like EVERYTHING works for a while and then stops, so I'm always switching things around!!!
I really think my Pdoc is great!! Really seems to know what he's doing!!! I think that he likely started me on Clonazepam because it's the safest and most effective, as that's what he's done with all my meds. When one quits working, then we move on to the more addictive ones, or the ones with a greater chance of adverse side effects.
Good luck!!!! I hope it works wonders for you!!!!
