Hi All
I have been on lexapro for a little over 4 weeks now. I have had mostly good days but a couple minor "breakthough" moments. Today though I really felt anxious all afternoon. I took 1/2 xanax (.25 mg) about 2:00 today. Then just a few minutes ago (5 hours later) I really felt a strong feeling come on like I was going to have a panic attack. My back and shoulders get real warm - is this normal? Also, for the first time I felt pain off and on right in the dead center of my chest - is this normal too?
I quickly stepped outside for fresh air and that helped. I am in my room away from the noise of the kids, etc. now trying to calm down, but am wondering if anyone else has breakthrough while on Lexapro. It came and went much quicker than any panic attack before I started Lexapro, I'm just hoping I don't need to start upping my dose or anything. I take 10mg/day and like I said have had mostly good days and only a few bad hours within the past 4 weeks. Just want to make sure what happened today is normal....
I can't think of anything that may have caused it except that I worked on a paper last night for my counselor whish was writing down a bunch of information about my childhood, but felt ok last night while I was doing it. Could I be feeling "after effects" of thinking about all that stuff?
Thanks for any input

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I get some flushed feeling during panic, so it's probably ok. I also get chest pain and tightness. Also, i think writing about those personal things could definitely give you anxiety attacks, especially if remembering them is particular painful.
