I missed all of last week because of stress and panic attacks but I have to go back to work tomorrow. What do I tell my co-workers when they ask what happened and why I was sick? My boss knows but I dont know how to handle everybody else. This is making me very anxious and I am worried I will have a panic attack at work over the stress.
Any advice, help would be greatly appreciated.

It's none of their business. I'm glad you told your boss, so you're covered there. I worried about the same thing, but there were really very few inquiries. The lady who enters my time asked how I was doing and I said fine and offered no explanation. I guess you could say that you had a concern that you were working on with your doctor. You are working on this with your doctor, right? Anyway, the opinions of people who don't pay the bills don't matter. Good Luck!

Sometimes we expect the worst, and encounter the best. I remember the last time I missed work do to anxiety/panic. I was afraid and embarrassed to go back to work. I was sure everyone knew what had happened. Thing is, everybody was great! I was greeted with countless, 'hope your feeling betters' and concerned well wishers. Nobody pried, but I had determined before hand to tell the truth, if anybody asked. Otherwise, you can just say you were under alot of stress. I noticed in your profile you are taking Ativan. How is that helping? I had the best results from ativan over xanax. The docotr's job is to give us the tools we need to get through day to day. If you are still having difficulty, let your doctor know. You are not alone!

I know this feeling. I have felt this way before, myself. I don't think it is anyone's business why you weren't at work.

The Ativan is working ok. I tried Xanax and it did everything but calm me down. I started pacing and talking to myself and became very manic. The Ativan seems to relax my body but not my mind. I would like to find the med that relaxes both body and mind. I see my doctor tomorrow and I am wondering what I should tell him. That the Ativan is OK or should I ask him for something else and keep trying for that "perfect" med.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
