My doctor gave me a list of natural alternatives that you can take to help with anxiety/depression which I thought I'd share with you. (The first 3 you can't take with my medication, so I guess you need to check with your doctor first)
*St Johns Wort - as affective as SSRI's
*S adenosylmethionine (SAMe) - a naturally occurring amino acid 400-600mg
*5-hydroxy tryptophan - the immediate precursor of serotonin
*Phenylalanine - amino acid that elevates mood
*Tyrosine -
*Omega 3 fish oil
*selenium
*Tresos B (vitamin B)
*inositol
*exercise
*valarian - improves insomnia and calms
*Damiana - helps if anti depressants are having an affect on sex
