My husband really wants to go on the carol ship. He wants to take our 12 year daughter with us. He is quite excited.
It's a four hour trip. With my panic disorder I have be able to get off the ship when I want to and knowing that I can't stop the ship and say let me off now is sending me into a tailspin.
How much medication can I take to get me on this trip? I know I need to do this to avoid getting full blown agoraphobia but I am just terrified thinking about. I know I shouldn't think about it.
What are some tips to help me be able to breathe while on the ship. When I was on a plane I just wanted to run to the pilot and say "land this plane now!" The thought that this would be on national news "crazy lady lands plane" kept the thoughts in my head but I was so sick. That was only a one hour flight. This 4 hours.

I know how you feel. I wont fly for that reason. When i had to get home quick for a family ilness earlier this year i had no choice but to fly. Its a 3 hour plane trip. i took a deck of cards with me and played patience. i had a few alcoholic drinks before hand. i took a really good magazine with me too. i still panicked but i knew i had to deal with it. You'll be fine. Just breathe and try to keep your mind active. maybe you could take some sleeping pills and have a nap?
