Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
1. Drink some water. Usually when you are anxious you are taking in too much carbon dioxide and not enough oxygen. Water is oxygen and it can help regulate the levels of oxygen in your body.
2. Abdominal breathing. Breathe in through your nose into your stomach. Imagine you are breathing in peace, calmness, serenity. Breathe out through your mouth and imagine you are breathing out any anxiety or anxious thoughts or feelings. Do this for at least 5-10 minutes and you should start to feel better.
3. Listen to some calming music. Nothing sad, just calm. No fast songs. I find that YoYo Ma's cello suites are perfect for the breathing. I am here if you need me so just message or click to chat.
You will get through this. You always have before and you will this time.
I am praying for you right now that you would be covered in peace and calmness and that all your anxiety would melt away.
