We have in our schools these big, huge, promises that are promoted big time.Like "NO CHILD GETS LEFT BEHIND"OR"ZERO TOLERANCE FOR BULLYING",but the more I discuss with other parents the pain and fear that our children go through the more I wonder why so many of our children are suffering and we cannot seem to win over a school political agenda. After all they are legally bound to taking care of these issues. We as parents do I whats required of us.Why then can they make these promises and not be responsible for full filling them. Now I am talking about students that are having life changing trauma thrown at them almost on a daily basis and it's effecting who they are and where there headed. One school I know of locked the students out at lunch. You didn't get in for any reason. One junior student ended up with his head smashed against a basketball post.Had stitches and a concussion a month later his head was smashed into a brick wall. When his teacher was con fronted after the child started talking suicide he revealed he hadn't a clue.I have felt very alone in dealing with schools even though I meet and talk to other parents about the same things we can't seem to stick up for our children without being bullied or threatened ourselves.
