I have been fighting the school system for many years for my children's right to be taught. First they wanted testing done .When you go through all that its like they forget about you. Every year you go through the same thing,.You get a call something is wrong with your child more testing .Meanwhile your child is developing fears . The bottom line is that it is protocol for all children to be taught no matter what. They even send teachers aides to brain injury children's homes. It is a legal issue ,they have to and most will fight you with all kinds of promises on paper but they don't nessessarily do it.It's exhausting and it is not fair but you really have to play hard ball because if you don't ,every year that goes by your child's abiliity to cope and be mentally and emotionally stable is taken away and in the end its just you and them.Play Hard ball. If your angry take it out on them instead of your child. But let them know at the beginning very diplomatically that you know the rules and if you have to follow them so do they.
