I am new to this site and oh so happy I found it!! I have a 10 year old daughter with general anxiety. We just started therapy last week and we have managed to overcome one issue, but there are a few more to work on. She has a fear of throwing up after she eats or drinks and as tiny as she is she needs to eat. She has had food issues her whole life even stopped eating at age 3 due to severe reflux she has basically learned food makes her uncomfortable. I am really hoping the CBT works but I have to say I am skeptical because She is a very bright girl who wants to know how and why everything works just telling her to do it or give it a chance doesnt fly. She is so not a go with the flow kind of kid. I am sure I will have lots of questions since we are new to this and sadly there is not much support out there for this topic.
