Hi, I have a 6y old chihuahua and a 7 year old reformed barn cat turned tom. Last year he had a serious kidney infection that led to stones which stopped up the kidney. The vet said this is common with cats and cat food you buy in the store. So I put Lou on a special prescribed food and everything went weell. That is until a few weeks ago when he had another infection. I hate living with this catch in my stomach thinking he'll stop up again. I'm feeding him the Feline SO food and constatnly monitoring his litterbox. Has anyone ever dealt with this? Any suggestions? The vet recommended putting him to sleep to avoid further infections. But there's no guarantee he'll keep stopping up. But most importatnly I love him!!
