An aneurysm (or aneurism) is localized, blood-filled dilation (bulge) of a blood vessel caused by disease or weakening of the vessel wall. Aneurysms most commonly occur in arteries at the base of the brain and in the aorta - this is an aortic aneurysm. This bulge in a blood vessel can burst and lead to death at any time.

I had a brain MRA done on the first of Nov. and a angiogram yesterday. The doctor said all looked good but now he wants to talk about putting in a stent. I don't understand why now if all looks good, I should have asked questions but was not very with it when he came to talk to me and he didn't stay long. I am really looking for input on this. Thanks.

My mom had two brain aneurysms last May and they put a stint in two help the aneurysm from collapsing. I don't really understand why they would put in a stint and not a coil. A coil is something they put in the center of the aneurysm and it stops it from growing or rupturing. A stint is something they put in the artery. I would ask more questions with your doctor, because it is very serious. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
