Aneurysms Support Group
An aneurysm (or aneurism) is localized, blood-filled dilation (bulge) of a blood vessel caused by disease or weakening of the vessel wall. Aneurysms most commonly occur in arteries at the base of the brain and in the aorta - this is an aortic aneurysm. This bulge in a blood vessel can burst and lead to death at any time.

I had a brain aneurysm rupture in May of this year and had coils put in. I have just had a follow up MRA done and angiogram and all was good but the doctor wants to talk to us about a stent possibly being put in now. I find since he said that I am so scared! I was wondering how others have faired after having coils put in and how often, if at all, they have had to have something else done to them. I also am wondering how often others have MRA's done and follow up angiograms. I have so many questions going through my mind and feel like I now live with a time bomb in my head that could explode at any moment! Thanks for any and all replies.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
