I just found out that I've had mild iron deficiency anemia for a long while now. However, I recently had an incident that involved me losing over 2 liters of blood. The hospital was supposed to give me a blood transfusion, but instead discharged me without one. The result is me being severly anemic. After being put on iron pills, I saw a hematologist who is testing my iron/ferritin levels again. To the point, he said I may need an iron infusion to raise my iron levels. I was wondering if anyone else has had this done? If so, did it help?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
