In either case, life as an amputee can be challenging. This is the place to find others going through the same experiences as an amputee. I am now three weeks removed from my surgery and I get the first of a series of temporary legs next Wednesday. I am soon going to have to start thinking about what kind of leg I am going to try to obtain. I would like some input from my friends here with success or failure stories. Recommendations of what to avoid and any other information that will help me. I am looking at Bioquest, but don't really have a starting point so all help is welcome.

I don't really have any recommendations on what type of things to get but I would say be sure to tell your prosthetist how active you are going to be.That helps in choosing the right thing for you. They make different foots for different levels of activity.

Bioquest sells only 1 item, the Perfect Stride II foot. I had my prosthetist research the foot and he saw it at a conference in Las Vegas this past September. He gave it a wonderful review for all levels of activity. I will be getting that foot somtime in March of '08. Ask Kay7 about it. She already has the Perfect Stride II and loves it.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
