I had my amputation on valentines day of this year after a failed bypass due to poor circulation in my left leg. When the surgeon who was doing the by pass got into the leg he found alot of genetic problems with my artery in my leg. I really never understood it all but there were branches flowing off that main artery that should not have been there, I think I understood that part right. What should have been a two three hr. surgery, took 14 hrs., with my vascular surgeron calling in two other vascular Drs. from his practice to help him. Then in recovery they realized the artery grafts failed, so they went back in and used artificial arteries which failed also. Thus here I am. Left leg, below knee amputee. I never dreamed this would happen to me. To say the least, it has been a heck of roller coaster ride. I am only in my seventh month and I sure hope this gets better. Thanks all for being nice enough to read my post.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
