Yesterday I went to the pain clinic for the first time. While I was waiting for the doctor to come in the room a guy stopped by and asked me how my cleg was working for me. I told him about the problems I have been having like a severe sprain in the back of my leg and now muscle cramps when I walk just a few steps. He then asked me who my leg guy was. I told him and he told me that the guy I was seeing wasn't certified to to work with legs yet. I couldn't believe it! The hospital sent me to him so I figured he must know what he is doing. Today I got to go to the new leg guy. he took pictures of my artificial leg and measured the whole stump. Then he hooked me up to the computer to check the computer program. What he said was that my leg is not aligned correctly. Also the knee stuck out too far which is why my leg doesn't go all the way to the ground. It just dangles a helf foot off the ground. The foot is turned out way too far also. So the bottom line is that nothing is right about my leg and hasn't been from he beginning. Also thats why I sprained my stump and why I have cramps in the back of my stump after only a couple of steps. If the leg was programmed right I would be able to walk without any help at all but I wouldn't ever walk right if I didn't get it fixed. Also he said I had the wrong socket for my stump but he couldn''t get me a new socket yet from medicare. The more I think about it the madder I get. This is just a vent or I would have screamed.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
