Hello all. I am 47 and have been a below knee amputee with no problems with either my prosthesis or my stump for 15years. (Until Now) I wear my prosphesis on average of 15 hours aday and I am on my feet all day. I have adapted that well to being an amputee I only go the clinic on average every two years I know all about phantom pains as i suffered them for the first three years. (NOT NICE) quinine worked for me 100%. A coupple of weeks ago whilst fast asleep I was woken up with an uncontrolable violant throbbing and shaking in my stump, this went on for three hours. I am now on three different types of tablet. Hate them. ?? Has anyone else experianced anything much the same ??? Many Thanks Dave. P.S Awaiting a referal to see a Neurosurgeon in the UK

Hi I've had an ulcerated leg for 12 years with dvts flebitous septecimia cellulitous. Collapsing viens and multiple infections causing loss of usage several times. Excuse spellings please. I'e been told it' life long and there' no cure. It stinks it rots and it hurts. Am I crazy wanting it gone
