Amputees Support Group
Amputation is the removal of a body extremity by trauma or surgery. Many have undergone amputation or have been living with a missing limb since birth. In either case, life as an amputee can be challenging. This is the place to find others going through the same experiences as an amputee. Share your thoughts, troubles, and solutions with the community.
I will be praying for you and your situation, that The Lord would intercede on your behalf and His will be done.
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

I would say this: You hopefully will have a stable situation once your surgery is done. I can assure you that being an ak is very do-able. I have been almost 32 years since I lost my leg. Although I cannot imagine how devastating this seems, you will have a healthy residual and you will be able to count on your health and ability afterwards.
I would be happy to pass any information I can to you if you would like.
Iam aka and its going well for me,
just do your pt and exercise and work every day on it you will be fine!
God Bless :-)
