Thought I'd let everyone know how the foot/ankle assembly that I have on my BK prosthetic is working out. It's a Ossur Ceterus Low Profile foot. The socket is a standard pin lock that took some getting used to, but now that I have, isn't too bad. Not quite as form fitting as the vacuum system on my temp leg, but not as hot and "drawing" on the skin either. Especially on the upper thigh. The return energy on the ankle is good and there are three blocks that can be placed in the heel to stiffen or soften your heel strike. I am in the medium block right now, but thinking of going to the stiff heel. I have a very heavy heel strike so I think this will help. The toe action is a split toe. And the roll over is very stiff and took some getting used to after having an Ossur flex foot. Again after getting used to it I really like it. Now to some issues and questions. Am I the only one that has a problem with any kind of grade, and walking straight up a hill? Also, I am going to the beach and want to know how the hell I can get in the water with dignity and not go hopping on down the beach and fall on my face.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
