Just a quick update. I was to try the test socket and the new knee by Freedom on Thurs. Well, I tried it and thought I was going to get to bring it home for a couple of days and guess what? I had the socket on for about three hours in the prosthetist office learning all about how to get this knee to work and I actually did walk with the walker. When the socket was first put on I only had a three ply sock. Well within three hours I was up to Eleven Ply, so they had to make another socket and I won't get it until Tues or Wed. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Like I said I did walk somewhat with the walker, but I guess I have some hip flexion contracture so they had to put some type of adapter on that also has I wasn't swinging out far enough. Although I really don't have anything to compare this knee to, being a new above the knee amputee, I will say that I was quite amazed with it, as was my Physical therapist and prosthetist. (yes, My physical therapist was there too) I had no problem sitting down. So I felt kinda good about that as they said most people at first just throw their leg straight out. I just sat and the knee bent down. Another thing I like about this knee is that unlike the Cleg you can get it wet. Now that doesn't mean like going swimming or anything, but if you get caught in a rain storm or want to wash the car, shrimp, or fish it's going to be ok. Also comes with two batteries. Soooooo that's how my day went. Exciting, but disappointing. LOL. Talk to ya later.

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
