A recent statement made by Anchorage banker David Cuddy, who is running against Republican Stevens who is under investigation in Alaska:
"Earmarks have bred corruption and that should signal it's time to return to constitutional limits on runaway spending."
You may remember a certain earmark for Alaska: the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere," a $223 million span to Gravina Island with 50 people on it, that became the butt of late-night comedians.
What are your thoughts on earmarks in return for votes on pork barrel projects?
How do we go about getting this country back on track fiscally?
Thanks in advance for your input.
