Hi, I am new here. I relocated from FLA to Ohio because of my dad's dementia. I have 3 older brothers here inOhio and they are absolutely no help! Anyways, I have been back almost 2 years, got my dad officially diagnosed with AD, enrolled him into adult day care 2 days a week, which he hates. I pay his bills, take him to the dr's etc..,pretty much evrything. My one brother lives with my dad in dad's home. He does not work so that helps somewhay, but this brother is dependent on me for everything. I feel that I am reaching my emotional max and it is taking it's toll on my own family. I am in the process of getting my dad on a waiting list but it bums me out, but I feel that he needs better care. How do I know when I should put him in and how do I get him there? ( By car abviously) This disease is horrible and my heart goes out to all of you. My friends do not understand why I am so stressed out, hopefully they will never go through this. I know I am rambling on, but just writing this helps me somewhat. I am glad I found this site and look forward to talking to all of you.

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
