Sick as a dog last night from midnight to 4am. Guess a GI bug caught me......didn't help that I had spaghetti for dinner. Felt like I was dying and here I am at 66 years old crying for my Mom. She has been gone for 22 years but I miss her all the time but most often when I am sick. She would have been in the bathroom with me rubbing my back and spoiling me all day long until I felt better.
Finally able to hold down a sprite and a piece of dry toast. Of course, still had to prepare food for the hubby trying not to barf while doing it. Made him soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and find he has accidentally (I think) flipped the lock on his leg bag requiring an entire bed change and a complete bath.
Just once I would like to worry just about me.

I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Hang in there, I hope you feel better real soon...try to stay hydrated if nothing else.
Many hugs to you.

What makes it even worse is that our spouses can't understand it and continue making demands on us.
I'm so hoping mine will be able to go back to the day program today and that they will accept him with a catheter.
Hang in there with the rest of us. Try to get some extra rest.
Hugs to you,
Inge
Wouldn't it be so nice if we only had to worry about us and do what we like when we want? Maybe some day.
Its just too bad we aren't appreciated for our efforts now.
