I feel inclined to tell her story. I have a grandmother Jimmie Nannette Lucas who means the world to me. She was diagnosed with alzheimer's shortly after my grandfather passed and onset a rapid proggression of the disease, due to him being her reason for hanging on. We had to place her in a skilled nursing home for her safety of almost burning the house down ,night wondering and such. She is much like a child and calls often and doens't quite recollect the events of short term but sometimes does not remember much anymore, and has begun to see me as her child. I often tell her our memories of summer at Nanny's and I cry to see her eyes light up and she smiles. I remember the cold wood floors in the winter and the donut holes waiting for me when I woke up. The good home cooking, and chasing me up a tree with a house shoe when I was bad. The trips to the library, and the church and vbs. The love in that house they had to sell, and it broke my heart as we went through all the things we played with as a child and all the memories I left behind there as we loaded the trailer the last time. And how when I was younger I wanted to buy that house and keep it forever. I love her and my heart hurts to see her there and know all the love for her and respect for her is great. She helped make my childhood beautiful and a life worth living. She is a God fearing woman with the heart of an angel! I love you Nanny! And all the memories you gave me! I will always help her remember all the joy she gave me! Than you for listening or reading. I just need support!

He is one of the best movement disorder secialists in the midwest. I know he is extremely busy on the lecture circuit now and in fact not taking new patients there is a huge waiting list for him. BUT.... I feel like my visits are not what they use to be. He...
I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
