When my Mom first developed alzheimers, she became very paranoid and refuses to speak to anyone at the NH or anywhere else, as she is so distrustful. She also stopped all regular activities of any kind. It's a very difficult situation to deal with. Has anyone else experienced this? At first she was suspicious of all family members also, but that has lessened somewhat due to meds, but she still will not socialize whatsoever. I am the only family member in the picture, so it's very tough to deal with. Anyone have any suggestions?
