My friend of many years whose mother and aunts all had alzheimers has shown signs starting about 3 and a half years ago. She now has very little short term memory and her personality has become really negative. She won't admit to any problem and covers it up with lies and grandiose and lenghty diatribes on any subject. She isn't driving any more. Her husband won't get her diagnosed or take her to someone because she gets furious with him and he likes peace. I feel guilty and bad because I just can't be around her for very long anymore...she's so self absorbed and dificult. Any suggestions?
