Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Responsiblity statement keeps blarring in my head.
Because not saying this, isn't worth a life to me.
Siting on ones hands is not the definition of a "dry drunk." A dry drunk is a person that has not changed any alcoholic behavior. All they've done is take away the booze and have left the alcoholic. I've seen people on this site talk about how they have recovered from "alcoholism" without AA and then condemn others with religious dogma and post discussion topics about cheating on spouses. AA teaches us a way of life, that alcohol is but a symptom, and our problems are US. I DON'T see people who attend AA on this site writing such things. Yes, we may disagree or be aggressive on subjects (right or wrong) but our lifes our not drunk anymore. If you don't want AA - fine. AA doesn't need you. If you don't need AA - then you're probably not an alcoholic of my nature and thus can not understand me. (and this post)
But if you are an alcoholic of my nature then deep inside the pit of your stomach you will know what I'm saying without me having to write anymore - and then perhaps you will know how to let go of....yourself and get help.
