i have had something to drink everyday for the last 20 yrs. not drunk all the time just drinking. i quit drinking hard liquor about 13 yrs ago. i have never been in trouble with the law. i don't take any other meds, prescribed or otherwise. my wife and i drank. her 6-10, me 8-20.about a year ago i started drinking 4-6 beers before work, and 10-20 a night. i always go to work. my wife quit drinking and smoking 5 weeks ago. she crashed hard and was hospitalized. she is at her sisters staying sober and smoke free.yay. when she left i started drinking at 4am, and sneaking drinks all day, keeping a buzz on. i was drinking 30-40 beers a day. sat&sun probably more. a week ago i started ds. i have stopped my daytime drinking, and cut down on my beer at night. last fri. i only had 8 beers. sat i had 10. i went to bed at midnight. i have not had a drink since then. sun. i took vitamins, drank gatorade, and made a big meal, and have been eating chocolate. i took today off as i fear i might crash, and i don't want to do it in public. i am nervous, anxious, and waiting for the bomb to drop. i don't want a beer i just want to stop feeling like the cops are going to bust my door in. i appreciate any insights you may have. chew my ass if i need it. thanks
