My boss has been along for my sobriety ride since it started. I have worked with him on and off since 1990, so he has seen both sides of my bad penny. AA is kind of rubbing off on him since I joined, he now see's addictions for what it is, not just weak willed weanies who can't stop. Both his sons are addicts, and his best friends daughter is an addict who uses her dad to excess. Yesterday on our way to the job he asked me what my triggers were for drinking? I asked him what brought this on, and he told me that one of his friends from high school came by to visit. His friend doesn't drink anymore. And as they were talking his friend said that his triggers to drink was his old friends, when he was around them he couldn't stay stopped. Other reasons that came up were his dad passing, his wife leaving, and losing his ranch. I asked if the guy was in AA Danny said no, he is going to group therapy sessions 2 times a week. I told Danny that my triggers were many and few. I could use any excuse to drink. It was bright out, it was dark, it was raining, it was drought, in fact I was a good excuse to drink all on my own. I told him that there were no reasons to drink, there were just excuses. He still drinks and I doubt if he will quit, but he is damn sure aware of what is going on with me and most everyone he knows.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
