I have to go to the store tomorrow to buy some fat clothes. I only have two pairs of pants that are size 14 and I finally admitted this morning that the size 12s not only were uncomfortably tight but looked horrible so I drug out one of my two pairs of size 14s. My sponsor tells me that a lot of people (especially women) gain weight when they quit drinking. I have been substituting cream soda for beer. That's probably a bad thing but I figure its better than drinking. I'm also still recovering from a bad episode of bipolar depression so now is probably not really a good time to try and concentrate too much on my diet. I have a hard enough time staying sober and getting to work. I have yet to put in a full 8 hour day since I returned to work on Monday. Did any of you experience a weight gain when you quit drinking?
