Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I am 12 days sober. I saw my sponsor briefly between meetings tonight.
Before she left she said I haven't had or hit my "Train Wreck" yet. What does she mean my that? I plan to ask her tomorrow, but am just curious as to the meaning.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
BillW is right on the money.

I have also heard it said that "I was starting to lose who I was"
I can't judge and I won't judge anything or anybody ion this great program, however I get the feeling that she never had hit bottom, just stopped short of it.
The way my sponsor taught me, and his sponsor taught him and down the line, is don't come out harsh like that.
First you have to get a person to love themselves, after all most hate themselves for what they have done, work with them, teach them, there is no right or wrong way to work with a sponsee, but coming out like that after 12 days, usually puts a person in the place of 'well since I haven't hit I might as well go back out, and see what it's like.'
I would defintly get rid of her, and watch around the rooms until you find someone that you may feel comfortable with, hey I've been fired many times, but there is always somebody else. It doesn't hurt my feelings, I have too many now 9 is enough.
