Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hey Family,
Wanted to thanks for all the wonderful feedback about my niece. We've come to the conclusion that neither one of us were wrong... we just had different perspectives of the situation.
Just to let you know, my niece still an answered prayer. She got a job & starts today. Still not feeling well (physically) but the willingness is there. That's what counts... the willingness to be willing...
Many hugs to my e-family fellowship here (((((hugs)))))

yes it is . support is absolutely life-saving. i am coming out of my black cloud depressions which-for me- are life threatening and i must tell you of the e-mails i have received from withoutlace and rose that somehow kept me going. i start my job on monday and irregardless of what i am facing to come-my child's custody battle with her father- the sexual deviant/rapist/abuser of women (someone i had the misfortune to meet 12 years ago for 1 month and has beaten, stalked, tried to control me by having me committed by saying he was my husband, holding a gun to my head at A.A. because of my pregnancy-told him it was not his). my mom was taken in-we drunks are liars and she did not believe this person was killing me bit by bit. however, she told him of his paternity- much to her regret and, of course, mine.i speak of this because i am very afraid. but, i am willing- willing to please ask God take care of her.i am powerless.thank you, my friends who have always kept me in check and reminded me of the power of prayer and to stay in the moment. not easy but absolutely necessary to my sobriety. devon

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
