Oh Roomy, what are you doing?
Since I left my prison at Roomy's house things are bumping along. Roomy however is losing his mind. I know I picked on him and joked with you wonderful people about him but this is very serious now.
He is drinking and taking effexor and is having a psychotic break. He doesn't know what day it is and there are dangerous people in the house. I had got rid of these people before I sobered up and they stayed away when I was there.
I pray that he is arrested for DUI. That, at this point is his best case scenario right now. This man is the reason I was able to do what I needed to do to get sober. He was very good to me when we first met. It has been the last two years that the booze really took hold. I'm not saying he isn't a walking character defect when he's sober but he hasn't even been sober lately. Since I left a week ago, he's moved on to hard stuff and 24 hour drinking.
I'm writing to ask that you kind people pray for him. I planted the seed and tried to show him that sobriety is a good thing despite my current situation.
This is a selfish program, but I'm fighting for my life and can no longer carry his load. I pray he finds his way but I don't think he'll see Christmas.

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I know exactly where you're coming from, last year the day after Christmas I said to my mother, "Mom, I love you and I hope you get well, but from what I saw yesterday I don't think you're gonna see 60." She said, "OK Honey, thanks for sharing," and she politely ended the conversation. Guess what? She died 40 days later, she was 59.

I have no idea how I got sober and he didn't. Some people just can't for some reason or another.
There is no way you can do anything but pray for God's will for him. I will add him to my morning prayers along with the ones for my husband. God bless you.
Unfortunately all we can do is be an example for those who are still practicing...
This is about self presevation. I was a bad guy for a long time. It took what it took for me. I love A.A. It has changed me into a completely different person. Most of the people I did my thing with are dead or in prison. Thanx again for your post:)
As much as your roomy has helped you in the past, you cant really do much else that hope like hell a miracle happens.. YOU LIVE, YOUR CHOICE..HE DOESNT, HIS CHOICE... I will however hold him in my prayers, and you too..hang in there.
