Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
For me drinking only exhasberated my Health problems and speeded up my disease of Alcoholism. I thought that since I was in so much pain anyway I would drown it with Alcohol. I did that for several years and ended up with delirium tremors, seizures, alcohol poisoning and some really serious withdrawals.
Today, I have 13 years of Sobriety with some Recovery time in A.A.
I am also on a regimen of medication that works for me right now to subdue the physical pain. It doesn't cure the pain. That is O.K. I don't want to be a Zombie.
I will be praying for your out come.

It's difficult I know. Hate how it makes me feel. But at least I'm not in terrible pain.
I know for a fact that mixing alcohol with meds is not a good mix. You can have halucinations, dizzy spells, become more irritable, easily upset and so forth.
Don't drink alcohol. It will only make things worse for you. Hang in there. Just take it one day at a time.
Brandy does not kill the pain, it kills your brain so that you cannot feel anything, but the pain is still there, just you do not know it.
Your body needs all the strength and nourishment it can get to help you get well, Brandy contains none of this and will only aid in making you worse.
So stop kidding yourself, leave it alone
