Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My relationship with God came fairly easily when I first came into the rooms. As soon as I looked back at the last year of my drinking and the first few months of my sobriety I realized that God had been with me every step of the way.
Welcome to D/S.When we realize that our lives are in the midst of change we need to ask ourselves why why now?
Thats a perfectly human response.Just realizing we are going thru a change is a miracle in itself. The normal alcoholic response would be,indifference,at best. But because we do have a realization is really proof that God is working in our lives.Hes been taking care of us all along.Keeping us and the other people in our lives safe from harm.Safe from our own negligence.Take this opportunity to take a serious look at your life and make a change for the better.Get involved in AA get a sponsor and give changing your life a chance at becoming a reality.Remember that God will give us the choice. He gave you a choice to run your life as you saw fit.Just take a look at the results.Perhaps now you should let God run your life.Thats why he puts other people in our lives.People that can guide you to a new way of thinking and a new way of life.Welcome home. We,ve been waiting for you. I've recently hit the gym big time, I've lost weight etc but am also living 'alone.' But I don't feel lonely. I too have a Faith. I found God inside Bristol Prison, England on Sunday March 27th 2005 at 9:30 am. (Yes, that part of my brain has escaped too much damage).
I live with EIGHT animals, one of whom, Arthur, a big white cat, sleeps by my side each night. Animals can be so responsive to change and no doubt he detects my lonliness.
My advise? Buy a four- legged friend. Their love comes unconditionaly.
God bless (from a fallen Christian) Phil
