Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I am sorry to bother you guys...I find this really hard to type and it hurts a lot. I have only just noticed it, but my mum drinks...A LOT! I was wondering how many glasses a night is too much?? She has wine and then goes a little odd and I don't like it and I have to make sure she is sleeping before I sleep. It worrys me and somtimes she drives me to places over the limet. She denies having more than about two though.
It scares me and I am so worried about her.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Does she get defensive when you confront her? You indicated that she denies how much she drinks, but I'm wondering if she resents your inquiry. My mother always did, to the point where I knew if I expressed concern or even joked about it I'd pay dearly for at least a week.
Is your father around? Do you have a family member whom your comfortable discussing this with? An aunt, uncle, older cousin, grandparent? I hope you're not alone in this.
