I am posting this for all who say AA doesn't work. And for those who think other means are better. I have a friend I have known for 17 years in AA. He came home on Monday night after a night out with his family to find the fire department, ambulances, and police all around his house. Some vandals broke in, killed his two dogs and two of his cats. They then torched his house. All that was left the next morning was the fireplace and chimney. His trunk with all his equipment was destroyed. He ownes his own tree business and this destroyed him. Everything was gone. The next morning there were 30 AA members shifting thru the rubble looking for anything salvagable. I just got off the phone with him. This is what he told me: His landlord has a house two down from the one that was destroyed. It is bigger and more yard. Same rent. It's his. People from the rooms have been calling all day offering furniture, appliances, dishes, silverware, beddings, food, everything imaginable. He has not been able to work yet. He needs to replace his truck and all his equipment. Well, a local car dealership in Plainville called him 20 minutes ago. Someone anonymously brought him a brand new truck, fully equipped with chainsaws, climbing gear, everything he needs to work. Refuses to give his name, paid for everything in cash. My friend Billy lost everything just 4 nights ago. Word spreads fast in AA. He had just about everything replaced except photos and other personal items. But people who have photos of him, his family, etc are donating them to him. This my friends is God at work in AA. AA does work. AA is really wonderful. I love AA and the people in it. It works, it really works. Just ask Billy.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
