When I got sober, the focus had to be on me. I couldn't impose my sobriety on family, friends, or judge the quality of my mates sobriety plans. I sure tried, I was a right royal bossy boots. My sponsor told me when I was focussing on what others were doing, it took away from what I was doing. Thought I'd share this tidbit with you. Because after he told me this, it helped me turn the focus back where it should be, and at the work I needed to do to stay sober.
